Job Description:

The Senior Account Executive will be responsible for managing the business development team, introducing and implementing sales strategies, acquisition of new corporate client accounts / educational contracts for WBS Executive Education, and performing senior corporate client liaison including managing the ongoing relationships with those clients and renewal of contracts.

The position will involve investigating and understanding client educational needs, driving sales targets and successfully representing WBS offerings that may meet, or may be adapted to meet, client needs, resulting in the sale of programmes (both existing and customised) to organisations. A major focus will be in growing the senior corporate client uptake of WBS programmes.

Job Responsibilities:

  • The management of client relationships and acquisition of new corporate clients;
  • Taking responsibility for networking and introducing the WBS Executive Education’s full range of products and services to increase profitability;
  • Engaging with blue-chip companies to offer WBS programmes and develop best practice education solutions;
  • Handling initial client contact and based on his/her knowledge of the WBS programmes, makes recommendations as to the level and nature of the programme to meet client needs;
  • Handling requests concerning the customisation of programmes to suit client needs;
  • Create and implement sales strategies to achieve monthly and annual sales targets;
  • Prepare, price and present proposals including project scope and timeline in response to client requests of business leads.
  • Interact with WBS Marketing to develop relevant marketing collateral that best advances Business Development goals;
  • Lead business development team on requests from both existing and potential clients to ensure a healthy and sustainable relationship
  • The incumbent is required to undertake administrative responsibilities, and to work closely with the director, operations manager, executive relationship managers, faculty and marketing department, on a regular basis.

Job Requirements:

  • An appropriate undergraduate or honours degree
  • At least 8 – 10 years’ proven track record in a business development  or senior account executive role, preferably within the higher education sector.
