Job Responsibilities:

• Contribute to teaching and learning in the field of Accountancy as delegated by the Head of Department;
• Assessment and moderation– summative/formative assessments including moderation in order to ensure adherence to standard and quality;
• Develop relevant learning material according to the University and SAQA guidelines;
• Participate in national and/or international conferences and publish research findings in accredited journals;
• Participate in community service projects;
• Liaise with industry and other stakeholders;
• Display sound inter-personal and team-working skills;
• Engage in continuous personal and professional development

Job Requirements:

• A Master’s Degree in an Accountancy related field or a Chartered Accountant (CA);
• Possess sound knowledge in the theory and application of Management Accounting;
• Three years of tertiary education or related industry experience;
• Research experience and output in accredited journal(s);
• Added advantage: Accreditation/Membership with a relevant professional body in Accountancy;
• Presentations at national and international conferences;
• A teaching qualification will be an added advantage.
• Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills;
• Excellent teaching/facilitation skills;
• Excellent planning and organising skills;
• Good inter-personal and time-management skills;
• Problem solving skills;
• Computer literacy;
• Have the initiative and the motivation to work without extensive supervision.
