Job Responsibilities:

  • People Management across the full employee journey
  • Workforce Planning
  • Review and improve distribution processes and workflows to create efficiencies
  • Manage the development, performance, and maintenance of the organisation’s transport to produce an efficient transport service, maximising performance, value and profitability against pre-agreed targets.
  • Build internal and external business partner relationships
  • Maintain and ensure compliance with Best Operating Practices (BOP) and 6S in your department
  • Budget and cost control
  • Identify and report on key metrics
  • Manage the call centre department to ensure order booking and all related customer queries are resolved within SLA
  • Manage stock control processes and losses
  • Manage Achieve and drive the KPI’s relating to accuracy, speed, cost, people and compliance within the Distribution Centre
  • Manage and plan the day-to-day operations of your department

Job Requirements:

  • Strong people management skills to ensure that the Distribution Centre consistently delivers outstanding customer service with highly motivated staff
  • Sound accuracy and high attention to detail
  • A strong service-orientation, high energy levels and a strong sense of urgency
  • A natural aptitude for the management of systems and business processes
  • Ability to handle high pressure, stress and multi-tasking
  • A post-matric qualification in Logistics- Transport Management/Supply Chain Management/Retail Business Management/Warehouse
  • Operations Management is essential
  • At least 5 years of solid Operations Management/Process Management experience
  • Experience in working on a Warehouse Management System (experience on Manhattan WMS would be advantageous)
  • Working knowledge of MS Office, with a strong MS Excel capability
  • Business acumen and experience in analysing, interpreting and applying productivity data
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills and judgement
  • Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal)
  • The ability to confidently influence and persuade at all levels to achieve results
