In this role you will have the opportunity to make a significantly positive impact to the business while you lead the implementation of advanced process controls (APC) in the processing plant.
Job Responsibilities:
- Participate in cross-functional teams to complete validation of new process equipment from the process control point of view
- Ensure the timely resolution of technical issues and technical support requests from other partners
- Improve and optimize process control performance through continuous improvement initiatives and techniques
- Develop and support process control best practices, standards and guidelines
- Oversee advanced process control equipment and applications, providing regular maintenance and troubleshooting or resolving issues as they arise
- Implement process controls improvements that delivers safe and reliable operations
- Lead the development and implementation of a world class advanced process controls strategy
- Analyze and develop solutions to address complex process problems
- Collect and analyze plant response data to build empirical and/or semi-empirical dynamic process models
Job Requirements:
- Been registered or immediately eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA)
- A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
- Superior collaboration skills that enables you to build solid, positive relationships with diverse groups
- Five years of experience in the field of advanced process controls
- A Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering
- Post-Graduate studies in Process Control, Computer Science or Mathematics
