Job Responsibilities:
- Manage quality and quantity costing outputs through the effective utilization of financial resources by ensuring accuracy of reports, timeous cost transfers, error reporting, effective planning/scheduling, within agreed financial periods and timeframes;
- Manage the team to design and execute costing reports;
- Supervise team to perform costing activities, deviation reporting, ledger management and report of anomalies
- Assist with the compiling policies and design operating procedures in alignment to the overall financial and company policies;
- Manage team to report on costing activities, analyse results and resolve queries escalated to Superintendent level;
- Ensure consolidation of cost records for recording on financial system as per financial closure periods;
- Manage consolidation of costing elements related to Operations or Services, resolve major anomalies before financial period closure;
- Monitor the costing and expenditure elements, trend analysis and forecast costs as per responsibility area;
- Performance manage staff to deliver on costing objectives, development of a high performance culture as well as career and succession plan to be finalised for department;
- Investigate major deviations and empower staff to monitor and implement business improvement opportunities
- Comply to SOX as well as regulatory and legislative requirements;
- Manage the costing system to ensure accuracy and consistency of recording;
- Functional expert in maintaining key stakeholder relationships to support the business;
- Maintain a service excellence mindset in the costing delivery and resource optimisation;
- Have sound knowledge of SAP Finance (FI), Controlling (CO), Materials Management (MM), Sales and Distribution (SD) and Production
- Planning (PP) modules with working experience in these modules;
- Have sound knowledge and working experience in assessment cycles and product costing (metal inventory valuation) processes within SAP;
- Have application experience in SAP ERP, SAP Business Warehouse, SAP Business Planning & Consolidation (BPC).
Job Requirements:
- BCOM with Accounting
- More than 3 years’ experience in a related role, of which 2 should have been at a management level or experience in a similar financial role
- Should have strong planning and analytical skills;
- Must have good communication and interpersonal skills and be able to interact independently with operations or service department heads, external advisors and the regional team;
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines;
- Must be self-motivated and be able to work within a team environment;
- Be declared medically fit for the position and environment, as determined by a risk based medical examination at a relevant Sibanye
- Occupational Health Centre
