Job Description:

The Subsea Engineer is accountable for providing engineering and operational support for the Subsea and Pipeline Asset Class for multiple assets across the Gulf of Mexico. The Subsea Engineer will also be the focal point for design, implementation, and long-term management/maintenance of Subsea leak detection systems.

Job Responsibilities:

• Serve as subject matter expert (SME) and point of contact for Subsea leak detection systems
• Engagement with the Subsea integrity team, relevant Technical Authorities, regulatory bodies, and Gulf of Mexico producing assets
• Support development and implementation of Subsea leak detection systems for the Gulf of Mexico
• Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities to build ownership toward the asset and maximize results delivery
• Communicate effectively with management, external bodies and all level of employees.
• Identify and implement effective courses of action to complete work and ensure achievement of departmental goals.
• Exercise independent judgment and initiative within established guidelines.
• Manage projects and processes effectively
• Ability to accomplish goals which require resources outside span of control
• Actively share and replicate best practices

Job Requirements:

Qualification & Experience:

• Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
• Professional Engineers are preferred
• 8+ years’ experience in the offshore oil and gas industry
• Technical Proficiency in Controls and Automation, flow assurance, and subsea systems
• Must be able to respond to emergency calls as needed and work extended hours as appropriate
• Offsite and offshore travel on a quarterly basis or as needed
• Must be able to acquire a TWIC Card and HUET
