Job Description:

As a Barclays Scrum Master, you will be leading the day-to-day delivery of an agile feature team and will also strengthen our developer capabilities and best practice in this newly created product team. You will be growing your full stack feature team of UI, Java API, and Salesforce developers. You will be building a high-performing culture within the team, and inspire, train and develop junior colleagues to encourage their progression.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Adopting true servant-leadership and drive the team to be the best it can be promoting a collaborative culture and team spirit
  • Managing an agile feature team to deliver business value utilizing agile scrum and Continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery (CD) pipelines
  • Applying software engineering best practice principles to ensure consistency with your feature team and other Development Team Leads
  • Managing the product backlog in partnership with the Product Owner, running the daily scrum, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and showcase sessions
  • Using continuous improvement techniques, tools, and metrics to measure productivity and quality
  • Instilling a culture of total application management and long-lived product ownership within the feature team

Job Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in deployment tools (particularly Chef) and monitoring tools (e.g. Splunk, AppDynamics)
  • Experience in the Wealth Management, Financial Planning and Digital Investing domains
  • Experience with multi-channel digital deliveries across iOS, Android and Web
  • Passionate about agile delivery as they are about the technology itself and comfortable working closely with the Business Product Owner
  • Extensive experience of working in a full-stack development environment using agile methodologies, modern DevOps practices, automated
  • CI/CD pipelines, BDD and TDD
  • Experience with Java, Angular, JavaScript, SpringBoot, Microservices, and REST APIs
  • Skills and experience with MQ, Kafka, Public Cloud development, particularly AWS, and experience with SaaS vendors
