Job Description:

The Scrum Master/Agile Project Manager (APM) is to lead large, complex enterprise level projects. The APM will use their knowledge of traditional project management principles and practices with an Agile development approach. The APM will plan and schedule projects and serve as a consultant to place the appropriate people, processes, and tools to improve team efficiencies and effectiveness. The APM will serve as a Scrum Master to maintain the agile methodology and act as servant leader to the team. They are responsible for facilitating discussions, decision making, and conflict resolution. Support the Product Owner in working with stakeholders and maintaining the product backlog. Assist with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and disseminate information. Assess the Agile maturity of the team and organization through software metrics and key performance indicators. Coach the team to higher levels of Agile and Scrum maturity, at a pace that is both sustainable and measurable for the team and organization.

Job Responsibilities:

• Maintain knowledge of industry standards and improvements in the Agile methodology and subsequent frameworks and serve as a champion to process improvement initiatives
• Maintain all project and portfolio documentation using Deckers standard tools, e.g. Planview, Jira, MS Teams, Workfront and SharePoint, and ensure all documentation and project artifacts are kept current, complete and saved in standardized folder locations
• Facilitate the team’s role in the software development life cycle
• Shield product teams from outside distractions
• Guide product teams on standard Scrum and Agile practices
• Communicate with key project members and business leadership
• Improve and maintain team culture
• Provide Agile KPI reports to the product teams and Management
• Conduct project management tasks including validating and monitoring project budgets while ensuring value is being delivered timely

Job Requirements:

• Knowledge of Agile approaches and Project Management Principles
• Skill and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency
• CSM or CSPO Certified
• 5+ year of Scrum Master Experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in related field
• Schedule management
• Documentation management
