Samancor General Worker Jobs – Training and Development Facilitator

Job Description:

Coordinate and deliver Lifting Operating Training ensuring quality outcome at all Samancor Chrome sites.

Job Responsibilities:

• Identify and assess level of continuous risk exposures in area of responsibility by considering exposures to business, financial, legal issues, people, equipment, material, environment, processes, etc.
• Consider the level of risk, apply mitigation and implement control measures for residual risk (set objectives, minimum requirements, etc.)
• Comply with SHEQ requirements (SHEQ Toolbox)
• Utilise the Integrated Management System (IMS) to initiate, investigate and report SHEQ status
• Ensure Customer Satisfaction as specified by Logistic practitioner.
• Conduct LOPT training as scheduled at Samancor Chrome’s Business units
• Conduct Assessments and moderation as required
• Ensure quality training and assessment outcome
• Assist with the development of new training material, update existing training material and programs
• Ensure all relevant training material is updated and saved on EBMS
• Coordinate the accreditation and compliance of all Samancor Chrome Mobile equipment (LOPT) training- facilities and programs
• Benchmarking ito training best practise
• Maintain safety as per Samancor Chrome standard at all times.
• Responsible for maintenance of LOPT equipment and tools
• Provide input wrt the expansion of facilities to comply with training requirements
• Ensure alignment with SETA requirements
• Maintain applicable procedures for processes in area of responsibility
• Assist with budget inputs
• Assist in community projects – skills upliftment
• Assist with auditing and reporting when required

Job Requirements:

• Microsoft Office Programs
• Samancor Chrome Systems (IMS, EBMS, Chromedoc)
• Report Writing
• Proven presentation and facilitation skills
• Demonstrate and apply an understanding of the Basic Conditions of Employment Act (Act 75 of 1997)
• Demonstrate and apply an understanding of all legal requirements with regards to Lifting Operating Training and equipment
• Knowledge of adult learning, instructional design, and curriculum development techniques
• Knowledge of instructional and learning theory and principles
• Knowledge of training methodologies
• Knowledge of competency assessment
• Knowledge of the Artisan role and responsibilities within Samancor Chrome Mines and Smelters.
• Grade 12 / N3
• Assessor /moderator certificate
• 3 years experience within mining/smelting environment
• 1 year Training/facilitating experience
• Have minimum 7 licenses on Mobile Equipment
• Training qualification would be recommendable
• Driver’s license (Code8)
