Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure SHEQ compliance within the Team through effective use of the Samancor Chrome requirements and Toolbox
- Utilise the Information Management System and IMS to analyse, identify trends, initiate, mitigate, investigate and report SHEQ status
- Maintain and improve relationships with key stakeholders
- Ensure customer satisfaction
- To conduct and coordinate ISO/OHSAS audits
- Provide feedback on deficiencies and non-conformances and to close out findings
- Update and maintain SHEQ statistics database
- Compile and distribute SHEQ reports
- Administer employee benefits
- Assist with the development of SHEQ training programmes
- Update and maintain the SHEQ Intranet
Job Requirements:
- External candidates require a SHEQ Diploma / Degree
- Internal candidates only require a N4
- SHEQ Auditor Certificate will be advantageous
- 3 years’ relevant experience
- Operating computer systems
- Maintain basic safety, health and environmental issues
- Perform the role of a safety, health and environmental protection representative
- Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the Enviro Acts, and their applications
- Describe the properties of materials found in the workplace and describe their impact on the environment
- Demonstrate knowledge of environmental legislation as it impacts on management of risk
- Demonstrate an understanding of ISO 14000
- Demonstrate an understanding of ISO 9001
- Demonstrate an understanding of ISO 18000
