Job Description:
The Senior Texas Title and Escrow Advisor advises on all matters regarding title and escrow for the organization. This may include post-close matters, quality control of processes and documents, and advising on industry changes. This team member works cross-functionally with internal and external partners to ensure licensing and requirements are met in the state of Texas.
Job Responsibilities:
- Act as point of contact for escalated Texas residential-related matters
- Act as point of contact for plant providers
- Establish new plant subscriptions and licensing in new Texas counties
- Obtain and maintain proper underwriter appointment by county
- Review proposed process changes including operation procedures, processes, and documents to ensure they meet TX requirements
- Ensure P-24 and PWA agreements with vendors are in place and being adhered to
- Monitor and maintain underwriter policy inventory
- Collaborate and assist other internal teams with auditing, training, and creating materials, as needed
- Establish and maintain relationships with local underwriters
- Assist Audit and Compliance partners with periodic auditing of Texas operations
- Assist Legal partners with matters related to Texas residential transactions
Job Requirements:
- 10 years of experience in Texas residential title and escrow
- 5 years of experience as a licensed Escrow Officer in the state of Texas
- 1 year of volunteer experience with the Texas Land Title Association through one of their committees or advisory groups
- Knowledge of Texas rules, regulations, and policies
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Experience as a Title Agency Manager or Title Operations Manager
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite
