Job Description:

This role is pivotal to the delivery of Agile project delivery capability in Reading Borough Council’s digital and ICT service. The role reports to the Delivery Lead and will manage a portfolio of over 50 projects annually.

You will have lots of interactions with both internal and external project managers and will co-ordinate the effective delivery of projects using a mix of Agile and Waterfall methodologies.

Core to the role is the ability to take the initiative and ensure the portfolio is performing at optimal levels. You will have the ability to report portfolio performance at various level of the organisation.

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience of successful delivery of multiple programmes of work at the same time.
• Previous experience working in a PMO function is preferable.
• In depth knowledge & demonstrable expertise of multiple change delivery methodologies (Agile & Waterfall) portfolio management, business change, business analysis, testing, development lifecycle, PMO processes and functions.
• Previous experience of setting up portfolio performance metrices and reporting portfolio finances.
