Job Description:

The primary purpose of this position is to maintain HR and Payroll master data in Australia Post Group payroll systems. This includes complex payroll processing, quality checking and daily work allocations to achieve pay finalisation in a timely, accurate and complete manner. The position must provide support and maintain the required skills for Payroll Officers on payroll processing. This role requires a heavy focus on continuous improvement, quality assurance, compliance and governance and streamlining processes. This position performs tasks to ensure data compliance with relevant legislation and policy in accordance with Australia Post Group employment conditions.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure delivery of all HR and Payroll related processes to agreed SLA’s
  • Under limited direction assess and process complex related transactions within agreed deadlines
  • Provide a centre of excellence in Customer Service Delivery
  • Identify and implement process improvements
  • Meet team and individual SLA’s and KPIs ensuring quality assurance and reporting requirements are met

Job Requirements:

  • Advanced ability of Microsoft Office functionalities such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint remove duplication
  • Certificate IV Payroll Administration (highly desirable)
  • Demonstrated experience in problem solving and experience in effective communications (written and verbal)
  • Advanced ability of Microsoft Office functionalities such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Demonstrated experience in problem solving and analysis of trends and forecasting resources for peak periods remove duplication
  • Experience in effective communications, preparing written documentation and delivering sound verbal advice to stakeholders and internal customers remove duplication
  • Demonstrated experience with Payroll systems (SAP highly desirable) Processing payroll in SAP is essential for this role.
  • Knowledge and experience in payroll legislation and acts and confidence in navigating industrial agreements (EBA, Awards)
