Job Description:
The Sisonke Human Resource Administrator’s role is to work with guidance from the organisation’s management team in providing professional and pro-active human resources services to the organisation, to provide advisory services to employees in line with the organisation’s policies and procedures and to play a pivotal role in administering HR initiatives.
Job Responsibilities:
- Create regular reports and presentations on HR metrics (e.g. employee sick leave)
- Organize and maintain employee records
- Help managers to manage performance standards within their teams, provide coaching tips and guidance on how to give feedback in accordance with policy and procedure
- Assist payroll department by providing relevant employee information (e.g. annual leave days, sick days and work schedules)
- Participate in HR projects (e.g. employee wellness programmes)
- Maintain filing system
- Prepare HR documents, like employment contracts and interview guides
- Arrange travel accommodations and process expense forms for HR related training
- Liaise with external partners to ensure legal compliance, including on labour law issues
- Revise company policies
- Maintain and update internal databases (e.g. record sick, annual leave)
- Manage employer and employee relationship
- Answer employee and management queries about HR-related issues
