A vacancy for the position as Financial Manager: Technichal and Projects is currently available at MiWay Head Office: Kosmosdal, reporting to the Head of Finance.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Management & Group Reporting including Quarterly reporting to Board of Directors
  • Preparation and submission of monthly reporting pack to Group
  • Reporting to external parties (SASRIA, SHA, COIDA, etc)
  • General Ledger management and ensuring integrity of all accounts during month-end close
  • Budgeting and Forecasting
  • Expense Control and approval
  • Computation of monthly tax calculation
  • Statutory reporting
  • Management of Accounting policies, systems and procedures.
  • Annual Financial Statement preparation
  • Liaise and coordinate with Internal and External Auditors
  • IFRS 17 implementation Product Owner
  • JDE System administrator
  • Ad Hoc Projects

Job Requirements:

  • Comprehensive experience in financial systems
  • At least 2 years insurance industry experience either in Financial Management/Accounting or External audit capacity
  • Exposure to IFRS 17
  • IFRS and General Accepted Accounting Principles
  • Tax acts (VAT and Income Tax)
  • Short-term insurance act and regulations
  • Companies Act
  • Reporting tools
  • JD Edwards General Ledger
  • Hyperion Financial Management (HFM)
