Job Responsibilities:

• Discuss different solutions to problems with other technical staff
• Interpret and understand design drawings and make recommendations
• Design and control processes to separate metals from ore
• Observe and comply with all statutory requirements
• Interpret customers’ manufacturing design requirements and product application
• Test iron ore samples to ensure they meet quality and grade.
• Carry out structural analysis using sophisticated computer software
• research and develop test or repair technology and new products
• Take responsibility for health and safety issues of staff and components in the Plant
• Monitor and test for corrosion
• Write documents, manuals, metallurgical investigations, and reports in support of customer liaison
• Ensure that plant operations are manned with the numbers of employees equipped with the necessary experience, competence and skills required to achieve operating targets at all levels of the operating organization;
• Produce reports on research and tests carried out.
• Make manufacturing time-critical decisions
• Maintain a high standard of health, safety, environmental, and radiation compliance;
• Install and commission processing equipment
• Monitor quality standards in manufacturing and finishing

Job Requirements:

• Adegree in metallurgy
• Extensive, varied, and long-term practical operations experience at similar or equivalent positions and responsibilities on crushing, screening, milling, gravity and magnetic concentration and filtration
• Iron ore experience essential
• Previous managerial experience
