Job Description:

]The Aircraft Support Technician will be responsible for executing the interiors maintenance program. Duties will include identifying, repairing and replacing components primarily pertaining to the interiors of the aircraft. The position will be covering a 24hour operation with a primary responsibility to work the overnight shift. Position will work directly with Lead Technicians to modify and repair cabin interior.

Job Responsibilities:

• Available for travel (10%)
• Inspecting, servicing, testing, repairing, modifying, removing and replacing aircraft and cabin components
• Other duties as assigned
• Possess and maintain a valid Driver License and a driving record from the state of your primary residence that meets JetBlue’s insurance standards
• Ability to work under pressure in a team environment
• Perform or assist in the open up /close up, disassembly, lubrication, cleaning, repair and servicing of aircraft and cabin by utilizing appropriate tooling, chemicals and equipment.

Job Requirements:

• Must pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug test
• Basic mechanical aptitude and tool familiarity
• Must be able to acquire and maintain a valid Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) Badge
• Depending on location, may need to acquire and maintain a United States Customs Clearance
• Ability to work primarily overnight shift
• High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
• Ability to remain alert to moving vehicles, aircraft and situational awareness
• Complete required paperwork accurately using procedures set forth in the General Maintenance Manual (GMM)
• Ability to frequently crawl, bend, kneel, climb, stoop and work in confined spaces
• Review and interpret online aircraft manuals
• Ability to communication effectively; in both oral and written communication

Qualification & Experience:

• Ability to drive tugs, trucks, taxi aircraft, lift trucks, snorkel lift, boom lift and tractor and/or other maintenance vehicles
• Prior Aircraft maintenance experience
• Airframe and/or Powerplant License
• Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic disciplines as they apply to aircraft systems
