Job Description:
The Demand Planner & Inventory Analyst I is responsible for demand planning, forecasting / replenishment, and inventory analysis for UPC items (limited suppliers, predetermined mix and cost) from order point, through warehouse, to the store shelf.
Job Responsibilities:
- Uses extensive product knowledge to develop, analyze, execute, and improve statistical forecast models, data, results
- Manages OMI orders and OLO for assigned products / commodities; develops significant product knowledge on items being supported, including an understanding of the Merchant role
- Develops demand forecasts; manages event and execution planning, to include holiday strategy; documents and executes promotional events
- Reviews orders daily and reallocates as necessary to maximize store sales potential and inventory productivity; reviews / resolves Warehouse Shorts; tracks, traces, monitors purchase orders
- Manages day stock goals, unproductive inventory, end-to-end inventory of assigned products / commodities; manually manages system-generated data
- Evaluates market conditions, and reviews requirements to develop and implement purchasing strategies
- Directs / executes the purchase of commodities; develops and executes purchasing strategies in order to proactively identify issues that minimize risk and protect continuity of supplies
- Collaborates to ensure a variety of product transitions, to include new and discontinued items, item distribution, category refreshes, seasonal purchases

Qualification & Experience:
- 2+ years of experience in supply chain / logistics or related area
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management / logistics, statistics, or equivalent; or comparable experience
- Experience in project work under little or no supervision
