Job Responsibilities:

• Strategically constructing supply chain transportation solutions for worldwide deliveries
• Negotiating container, dry-bulk, and rail freights with shipping lines/ freight forwarders/ brokers
• Developing a profound container/dry bulk freight-market overview
• Building-up and maintaining strong relationships with logistic service providers
• Guiding traders on market developments and logistic solutions
• Negotiating storage and handling agreements with warehouses, terminals and ports
• Ensuring compliance with international regulations and insurance/ port requirements etc.
• Assisting traffic/ operation on smooth functioning of transport execution
• Updating and assisting traffic team as needed
• Maintaining container lines online platforms
• Analyse all data and booking information
• Considers urgency, important, risk factors of all shipping line bookings

Job Requirements:

• Qualification/ Bachelor’s Degree. Preferably in Logistics, Supply Chain
• Multi-tasking and excellent management of time and priorities is essential
• Strong verbal and written communication skills that work effectively within team and different audiences
• Demonstrated, well-developed judgment and problem-solving skills
• Strong negotiation skills
• Pro- active, committed and highly motivated
• Independent, flexible and entrepreneurial
• Takes initiative and invest energy to, resolve queries and take action as needed
• High level of attention to detail and data accuracy
• A strong customer focus and ability to work in a global, demanding environment
• Solid knowledge of Charter processes including ocean/ land transport/ container logistics as well as substantial knowledge of Incoterms
• Solid knowledge and experience on shipping line bookings
• Fluency in English orally and in writing, additional language skills preferable
• Computer literate MS Office. Advance Excel skills is required
• 3 to 5 Years’ relevant experience in Chartering and Shipping logistics.
• Knowledge and experience of charter and shipping line bookings
• Experience in break bulk chartering preferable
• Practical knowledge in commodity handling preferable
• Experience using container lines online platforms and systems
• Working for a major Shipping Line is advantageous alternatively for a freight forwarder using Shipping Line systems
