Job Description:
The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for financial analysis to support strategy development, evaluation of capital projects, monthly forecasting, annual budget, and 5-year financial forecasts. This role is key in interpreting business situations to develop quality, timely, impactful financial analysis and effectively communicate the financial implications in a collaborative manner. The analyst will regularly interpret complex financial information and translate it into meaningful presentation materials, including graphs, charts, infographics, and other data visualizations. Supports company initiatives with ad-hoc analysis on matters including consumer demand analysis, strategic initiatives, and financial simulations.
Job Responsibilities:
- Performs ad-hoc financial analysis of varying complexity which may include calculations of rate of return, depreciation, working capital, investments, budgeting, and financial and expense performance comparisons.
- Execute company initiatives and other activities requested by supervisor
- Utilize financial models to evaluate proposed capital projects. Evaluate multiple options for each project to determine solutions for maximizing project returns.
- Assist in leading the forecast/annual operating budget/long-term strategic plan processes by collaborating cross- functionally to gather assumptions, update financial models and prepare content for presentation to leadership.
- Maintain and enhance existing financial models and build new models where needs arise, including development of dashboards.
- Act as a team player to support overall Strategy FP&A team goals and outcomes.
- Analyzes and reviews data, resolves questions or problems, and implements solutions.
- Excellent communication, analytical and interpersonal skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- Conducts research, prepares analysis of financial data, and identifies emerging financial trends.
- Create what-if business models to analyze potential outcomes from strategic decisions.
- Develop and maintain tools that can be used to quickly respond to key questions and changes.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
- Ability to package financial results and present it for Senior Leadership and external consumption.
- Contributes ideas on ways to optimize or improve the team, the department, and the Company
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with real estate, sales, accounting, and commercial teams.
Job Requirements:
- 3+ Years Capital Planning Experience
- 1+ Years Public accounting experience (Big 4 or mid-tier firm preferred) is desirable.
- 3+ Years experience in a financial role required, preferably in consumer-oriented field (Restaurants / Retail / Consumer Products)
- 3+ Years Financial Planning Experience
- Master’s Degree Accounting or Finance required preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree Accounting or Finance required required
