Job Description:
The Mechanical Contact Engineer will provide technical support to one or more of our Baytown Area manufacturing facilities (Refinery, Chemical, Olefins, or Plastics Plant). Depending upon the specific Mechanical Contact Engineer assignment, the engineer will provide support for routine maintenance, turnaround, and project activities within the fixed (static) equipment discipline.
Job Responsibilities:
- Communicate and interact daily with Inspection, Maintenance, Process, and Engineering team members
- Drives information and drawing improvements
- Drive site asset improvement in the areas of Safety, Reliability, Environmental Performance and Equipment Capability and Efficiency in a team setting
- Analyze site Fixed Equipment performance
- Support Capital Projects and minor modifications in the areas of design consulting, technical quality assurance, and start-up assistance
- Respond to plant operational events
Job Requirements:
- Prefer professional experience within an operating company, major engineering contractor or vendor (Petrochemical or other heavy industry experience strongly desired)
- Required B.S. (or higher) Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
