Expedia Entry Level Jobs – Technical Product Manager I

Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced, collaborative and team centric Technical Program Manager to join our product engineering organization and help us deliver seamless online Checkout experiences to our customers. Sitting at the sharp end of the conversion funnel, our platform processes millions of bookings a week from customers across the globe using any one of our 40+ localized websites or our award-winning mobile app.

Job Responsibilities:

• You are an accomplished practitioner of Agile methodologies beyond simply running ceremonies and understand how to use and be Agile to best support the team(s)
• Be a driving force of change. Embracing new and creative ideas, you’ll find fulfillment by working with product counterparts, analysts, and engineers to define product features that will delight our customer
• Turn high-level project objectives into a comprehensive set of requirements by collaborating with various business owners from multiple domains
• You bring your Program Management expertise with communication, schedule, and scope, gained from managing multiple large software programs with interdependent teams
• Collect, analyze, and use data to support ideation and problem solving with your peers; Product, Engineers, Architects
• Plan/organize work, drive delivery by leading a development team, and balance the inevitable challenges that come with any complex project
• Write detailed technical specifications in the form of agile epics and stories that engineers consume. This includes analyzing high level requirements and working with back-end service teams to understand their interfaces, integration points within a modular UI framework

Job Requirements:

• Fine attention to detail and high bar to deliver quality products and features
• 4-6 years of experience working with technology teams on large scale ecommerce sites, core platform and API development
• Demonstrated fluency in complex requirements gathering and project management on multi-tier, web applications from the top (UI) to the bottom (back-end platform and services)
• Must have passion for the customer experience
• Highly collaborative, and calm in the face of competing priorities and ambiguity
• Bachelor’s in Engineering or related technical field; or equivalent related professional experience
