Job Description:

To manage the route/site selection and land survey process for all new power lines in Eskom, and ensure compliance to stipulated standards for power line routes, airborne Lidar surveys, power line/substation surveys and power line profiles.

Job Responsibilities:

• Manages key outputs of land survey function
• Ensures that a quality product and service is offered by the section
• Performs project and contract management
• Provides a professional consultancy service to the business
• Provides a technology management function for the discipline
• Manages personnel and other resources

Job Requirements:

• Property industry
• OHS Act
• Advanced knowledge of applicable company standards and procedures
• Geographical Information Systems
• BSc in Land Survey/Geomatics
• Analysing and interpretation
• Powerline design methods and technologies
• Property and contract law
• Liaison and negotiation
• Interpretation of legal contracts and deeds
• Registrar of deeds systems, practices and procedures
