Job Description: Under the direction of the Superintendent, Maintenance Operation this position will be responsible for developing and communicating the maintenance plans to the mobile maintenance department. You will interact with the team of mobile maintenance team and supervisors to ensure targeted work output and performance is achieved and maintained. You will also provide technical support to the Maintenance Department where required, enabling the operation to drive the delivery of key performance targets, ensuring optimal availability of all equipment and facilities whilst budgeted cost objectives are achieved. Job Responsibilities: Plan, organize, & implement effective maintenance policies / procedures within the Maintenance dept. Monitor and tracking of the equipment component oil analysis program. Interpret mid to long term plans and translate to a day to day maintenance schedule to meet those plans. Ensure coordination between mine operations and maintenance crews. Provide analysis and interpretation of maintenance trends and variances. Analyze existing process circuits and installed equipment to develop accurate and complete bill of materials for stocking strategies. Establish equipment criticality and technical status for assigned tasks Issue work orders in accordance with production requirements and resource availability. Provide input to daily, weekly and monthly schedules for maintenance activities. Monitor and track major component changes, wear items, service hour variance, equipment utilization, and damages. Job Requirements: Excellent attention to detail and problem solving. Minimum five (5) years’ experience working as a mobile planner or Heavy Duty Mechanic. Ability to prioritize of both long- and short-term maintenance planning. Demonstrated ability to take initiative in a results-oriented environment. Ability to foster teamwork and collaboration among all employees. Strong computer literacy including intermediate level Microsoft Office. Interprovincial Heavy Duty trade certification (Technical mechanical diploma will be considered). Excellent oral and written communication skills. Working knowledge of principles of maintenance planning, scheduling, and coordination. High degree of knowledge of mining mobile equipment and processing equipment maintenance.
