Job Description:

George Beal House Short Breaks Service provides essential respite for adults with learning disabilities. We are looking for a worker to join our team who is passionate about promoting rights, choices and independence skills, in a care assistant role. The successful candidate will be prepared to work a rota which include shifts, weekends, bank holidays and waking nights.

Proof of Covid vaccination status

This role requires the post holder to be vaccinated with the complete course of a Covid-19 vaccine, unless medically exempt.

If you are not currently vaccinated, but intend to have the vaccine, you may still apply for the role but will not be able to start until evidence of full vaccination or medical exemption is provided.

DBS

The post you are applying for is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. If your application is successful you will be required to declare any spent and unspent convictions, adult cautions (simple or conditional) that are not “protected” as defined by the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (as amended in 2013 and 2020).
