Job Description:
The Libraries Hub provides vital support to Bedford Borough and Central Bedfordshire Libraries. Your role will be to provide a friendly, efficient and effective delivery service to the 18 libraries; delivering new stock, requested titles and more to ensure the libraries can deliver a quality service to their customers.
You will represent the Libraries Hub so good interpersonal and communication skills are essential. You must be flexible and able to handle a wide variety of tasks. You will need to hold a clean and current driving license, and must be able to lift and move boxes of books.
The role is to provide cover for when drivers are on leave or off sick, so you may be called upon at short notice. There are no set hours, but when called upon the working day tends to be about 7 hours.
We are also recruiting for casual Driver/Library Assistant to be based at the Kempston Library. Please view and apply via the advert for that role at the same time if you wish to be considered for both roles.
