Internal and Operations Communications Manager (2201690) – Research Triangle Park, NC Where the Chemistry Happens Lead employee communications programs for the Agricultural Solutions Division of BASF that drive engagement generally, with particular emphasis on the RTP and manufacturing/operations population. Provide direct support to the SVP and other key leadership team members on communications counsel and message development, including executive presentations, speeches, or events. Develop an annual strategic internal communications plan consistent with business strategy and global, regional and OD messages and priorities. Plan and execute employee town hall meetings, in-person events or virtual employee communications opportunities (videos, etc.) Develop content for internal publications, intranet and digital communication stations. Identify, track and communicate relevant KPIs and measurement for continuous improvement and modern internal communications standards.
Job Requirements:
- Experience supporting communications with manufacturing, operations or supply chain departments preferred.
- Expert Microsoft PowerPoint and Word skills, and knowledge of BASF brand standards for internal and external communication.
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex theories or concepts into key messages for relevant audiences, particularly employee populations.
- Knowledge of best practices around employee communications and engagement, including measurement and reporting.
- Experience managing employee communications programs, including executive communications (presentation, speechwriting, ghostwriting).
- Experience in agriculture, chemistry or manufacturing industries preferred.
- Bachelor degree in Communications, Journalism, English or related field.
- 10 years of corporate communications experience in-house or agency setting.
- Strong writing and editing skills under tight deadlines.
- Business acumen and understanding of how to communicate financial, operational or strategic business metrics or plans to broad audiences.
