Job Description:

As a Barclays Collateral Agent you will work within Lending Operations who are part of Corporate Banking Operations. You will be responsible for completing analysis of lending propositions and submitting credit reports to be sanctioned for lending approval. Within this role you will be the source of expertise and point of reference for colleagues, coaching and supporting on the job skill skills transfer. The collateral team is split over three locations in Birmingham Snowhill, BSS Noida and Chennai.

Job Responsibilities:

• Processing, registering, and maintaining, releasing and quality checking Corporate and Business Banking submissions for businesses facilities with high turnover and value
• Analyzing collateral requirements, using judgement & decision-making to identify correct security documentation to issue to solicitors for security taking and release of charges
• Providing consistent and continual assistance through spoken and written communication with client and solicitors to enable achievement of providing a World Class Service
• Providing coaching and being prepared to assist with more formal training and workshops where required
• Following procedures to high level of accuracy, efficiency and compliance using automated and/or manual systems and equipment
• Evaluating lending sanctions and providing support to customers in commencing and/or completing charges, or discharges of security, relating to standard and high value cases
• Supporting continuous improvement of the operational process and the development of best practice, and completing work within agreed Service Level Agreements

Job Requirements:

• Substantial Keyboard and IT skills
• Self-motivation to manage workloads and work towards business service level agreements
• Excellent communication skills
• Quality conscious with solid control environment awareness
• Technical skills & knowledge in collateral security
• Previous experience of working within a processing environment
