Job Description:
As a Barclays Mortgage Advisor, you will be responsible for every aspect of the mortgage process – advising customers on their needs, processing their transaction and resolving any issues that arise. Based on the customer’s needs, you will also be recommending related so you need to be a great relationship builder and negotiator. With the deep customer insight this brings, you will be able to identify the broader needs of the customer and introduce them to the right experts.
Job Responsibilities:
- Maintaining excellent knowledge of all relevant products and services, systems and associated applications including mortgages, protection and insurance
- You will be responsible for identifying broader opportunities and professionally introducing the customer to the most appropriate colleagues within Barclays UK
- Proactively managing the end to end customer experience from preparation through application and finally to completion, ensuring customers receive exceptional service at all stages
- Undertaking telephony interactions with the customer to gain a full understanding of their circumstances in order to provide tailored mortgage advice
- Adhering to diary management principles and use available Barclays tools and enablers to provide optimum outcomes across the customer journey
Job Requirements:
- Exceptional communication skills whilst presenting options and tactfully disputing customers thought process where limiting beliefs are adversely impacting outcomes
- Experience of a customer facing role with evidence of delivery and relationship management in a regulated environment
- Maintain an up to date working understanding of all group products and services in order to facilitate effective customer management and referrals
- Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice (CeMAP) or Mortgage Advice Qualification (MAQ) qualified
- Follow a self-managed programme of continuous professional development and meet the standards of regular competency testing
- Maintain an up to date knowledge of the external market
- Demonstrated ability to influence & develop colleagues around you
