Job Description:

Under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer, the Director of Nursing will direct, assign and delegate the In-patient Nursing activities.

Job Responsibilities:

• Makes rounds in all patient care areas; is abreast of clinical issues, staffing patterns and customer service needs
• Supports and develops leadership talent by role modeling and mentoring staff
• Develops and supports plans and programs related to nursing education and oversees compliance with mandatory education requirements
• Assures financial performance in both operational and capital acquisition processes for assigned units in the nursing department in collaboration with the Chief Nursing Officer
• Participates in formulating, reviewing and revising policies and procedures and accountable for performance of In-Patient services
• Coordinates the provision of safe, efficient nursing care in line with established standards of practice

Job Requirements:

• Recent UAE experience in private Hospital setting desired
• Demonstrated leadership abilities
• Current nursing licensure in home country
• ACLS/ BLS certification
• Proven competence in the Administration of nursing patient care service/s in a private Hospital setting in multi-specialty hospital/s
• Minimum of 5-7 years post-graduate experience (preferably varied clinical background) including 3 years in a managerial/similar capacity
• Bachelor Degree in Nursing
• Post Graduate qualification in Nursing Management desirable
