Job Description:
We are looking for a talented High-Volume Hiring (HVH) Recruiting Manager to help us find the best talent in the world to support our growth. Amazon is one of the most recognizable brand names in the world and we distribute millions of products each year to our loyal customers. The ideal candidate will work effectively with internal and external customers, leading a team of HVH recruiters and assistants who provide support in the mass hiring process of new hourly Customer Service Associates (CSAs).
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of HVH Recruiters and Recruiting Assistants that own the end-to-end recruiting process for high volume hourly Customer Service Associates across multiple sites (Virtual and Brick & Mortar) in South Africa.
- Provides strategic direction and input to sourcing strategies and the overall recruiting strategy.
- Develops and maintains relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. Owns the Employer Branding relationship and collaboration to build a country/regional strategy.
- Manages the analyses of reporting of performance via Key Performance Indicators such as fill rate, quality of hire, candidate experience etc.
- Represent the recruiting team at local, regional and global (if required) level leadership meetings, reviews and discussions.
- Lead/focus on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives including planning events to showcase Amazon as an Equal Opportunity Employer.
- Lead improvement projects both within the function and across function to impact a positive candidate experience. Also look for opportunities for automation or process optimization with the usage of tools.
- Manage and own cost per hire budgets through oversight of labor acquisition, advertising and other recruiting costs within the site / country / across geographies.
- Leads and drives regional projects, of increasing scale and complexity, and manages programs through completion.
- May review and give input to close candidate escalations and inspect mechanisms for long term solutions.
- Lead, hire and develop the right talent in the team and ensure the team is appropriately staffed during Peak seasons.
- Gives input to labor demand plans and create and manages scalable staffing strategies to build infrastructure and ensure team resource capabilities meet business demand. Evolves and implements strategies based off consistently changing needs of the business.
- Creates a vision, based upon data, for a team/business and develops scalable strategies that capture the best talent and most diverse candidates at the lowest cost per hire.
Job Requirements:
- Knowledge of the South African Labor Law and Employment Equity Act
- Implement tools including resume databases, internet sourcing tools, and spreadsheets along with other Microsoft Office products like Excel, Word and Powerpoint.
- Leading Diversity Sourcing or Programs experience.
- Proficiency of Microsoft Office Suite.
- MBA/Masters degree.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent post-secondary degree.
- 6+ years of Recruiting/HR experience in a high-volume environment with a multi country/site/location scope.
- Experience in working with stakeholders across various levels and ability to collaborate with peers.
- Awareness of candidate/employee life cycle from hire to exit.
- 4+ years of leading a team with experience in hiring and developing talent.
- Effective communication skills in both written and verbal with fluency in the English language (speak, read, write).
