Job Description:

Operates and monitors computer equipment on assigned shift. Monitors and controls production environment to met on-line and batch service commitments ensuring application of installation standards and procedures. Effects resolution of routine problems. Implements changes in accordance with procedures. Operates peripheral equipment and operating systems. Ensures effective utilisation of machine resources and prioritisation of workload. Fully competent computer operator level, competent to perform most computer operator assignments without close supervision. Usually reports to Shift Leader, Operations Supervisor or Operations Manager.

Job Responsibilities:

Main Responsibility will be the installation, repair, maintenance and programming of tracking & fleet management devices into vehicles / assets.

• Proper and sufficient communication with clients (Internal and external)
• Quality Installations and Repairs of Altech Netstar tracking and fleet management devices
• Adhering to Company Policies and procedures at all times
• Managing of Company property entrusted – Example: ToT vehicle; Laptop; Tools…
• Problem solving by use of technical skills
• Daily Admin duties
• Proper handling of job cases by use of electronic device (Mobitech)
• Time keeping
• Monthly stock take and upkeep of stock

Job Requirements:

• Grade 12 or equivalent
• 2 / 3 Years’ experience in Fleet management and tracking industry
• Computer Literate
• Valid driver’s license
• Auto Electrical background or experience
• Product knowledge on Fleet management and tracking products
• Product knowledge on Trunked Radio systems
