Job Description:

To provide strategic financial management support to the business, in relation to both project accounting and financial management for the Residual Bank, from a technical and an operational perspective. 2. Assist the Group Finance department in achieving its overall objectives of being a trusted partner in supporting the business and the Residual Bank, and reporting on their performance for business as usual and/or projects. Facilitate change by working alongside business makers, providing analysis that aims to assist on future direction and investment choices. 3. Taking overall accountability for the financial reporting, financial controls, policies, and procedures of the allocated area of responsibility.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Identifying resources within Group Finance or external contractors that will be leveraged on in order to perform due diligence actions, compile business cases, prepare budgets and perform whatever actions are required from a financial management perspective.
  • Keep the client informed about progress through written communication, telephone communications and/or face to face meetings.
  • Ensure that procurement policies and procedures are adhered to.
  • Management reporting (financial pack) inclusive of operating expenses (actuals, forecast, budget), Capex and Procurement components.
  • Assist in managing their electronic procurement management system, controlling their procurement expenditure, and reporting on it.
  • The design of financial controls, the design of financial processes, opening of new GL accounts and the opening of new cost centres.
  • Create and maintain productive relationships with internal and external clients by providing professional and appropriate advice and assistance.
  • Preparation of annual budgets and forecasts (in the required format) for discussion, review, and refinement with the individuals responsible for the management of RDS. Track, monitor and engage with the team responsible for the management of RDS both at an executive and an operational level to implement corrective action as and when required.
