Job Description:

The Merchandiser is responsible for sales generation and delivering a positive customer experience. JH has to meet assigned revenue target by effectively handling customers and building relationships. JH follows Business & Retailer guidelines relating to merchandising standards, stock and Recommended Retail Price (RRP) maintenance and customer service so as to maximize every sales opportunity.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Take personal initiative as well as participate in any training opportunities to ensure complete and current knowledge of the product range, so as to educate customers on features, advantages and benefits.
  • To achieve 100 % sales target (volume and quantity) set by the business- which will be monitored on Daily/ Weekly/Monthly/Qtly/Half yearly /Yearly basis
  • Know the competition, compare pricing and merchandise, provide customer feedbacks on products, services and market trends.
  • Reporting. Blank calls should be given to executives on reaching the outlets. Daily sales report should be sent to Sales Executives via whatsapp at the end of duty hours. Maintain and share the monthly sales report. Maintain discipline in the outlet, office and accommodation. Those who are in sharing (company) accommodation should abide by the rules, regulations and instructions given by the organisation.
  • Greets customers immediately with a smile. Sincerely thanks all customers for shopping as they exit the store and invites them back.
  • To maintain the visual merchandising in the respective categories in the outlet as per the company standards. Keep the display neat and visible.
  • To ensure that the RRP is maintained and offers are updated for Panasonic products in the outlet to ensure that customers are aware of product prices and to protect the company against any loss related to incorrect pricing. Any deviation on RRP (done by the retailer) should be intimated to Panatech and should be corrected immediately.
  • Manages and resolves customer complaints on shop floor and escalates to Merchandise Manager if case is critical
  • To provide a high level of customer service at all times both internal and external, by being aware of the product categories and being able to assist and advice customers in a professional manner. Provides customers with current relevant information about the product to assist them with their selection and decision to purchase.
  • Participate actively in team meetings on a daily/ weekly basis on progress in Sale’s KPI achievement & individual performance.
  • Support in maintaining availability of merchandise by providing timely feedback & follow up with LM. Provide feedback on fast and slow moving stocks to LM and suggest ways to maximize sales
  • Creates a positive first impression for the customer through an energetic attitude and adhering to dress code

Job Requirements:

  • Should exhibit excellent product knowledge (80% + scores)
  • High School degree
  • Conducting self in a professional manner that reflects Al-Futtaim way of behaviors with customers as well as team mates.
  • Brands handled must be in immaculate condition as per the brand guidelines and VM standards (100%).

  • Achieve 100% sales targets consistently on a monthly basis.
  • Good communication skills.
  • 1-2 years’ experience in similar field
