Job Description:

As a strategic member, the incumbent is responsible for providing integrated financial intelligence to ensure effective mitigation of financial risks and enabling the financial sustainability of the Company. This involve influencing the corporate strategy development, compiling financial plans, produce management information and ensuring that business objectives are achieved.

Job Responsibilities:

• Interpret and influence the Trannset strategy roadmap and relate to the financial roadmap to determine the direction.
• Compile and provide budget directives to ODs (including financial directives) and manage the budgeting process (revenue, operating expenditure, cash projections).
• Develop the Financial Plan for inclusion in the Corporate Plan.
• Manage the budget against the plan and lead in driving initiatives (performance targets and moratorium).
• Annual determination of shareholder value-add matrices.
• Provide performance management information on a continuous basis in respect of performance against budgets and dynamic targets supported by root cause analyses (including opex and revenue analysis).
• Undertake annual volume plan alignment for priority commodities.
• Provide input in the going concern assessment.
• Annual Corporate Overheads allocation to Operating Divisions.
• Analyse, review and narrate the consolidated budget for EXCO/Board.
• Input to the development of the sensitivity model.
• Provide inputs to external parties such as funders, credit rating agencies, DPE and others.
• Review dividend policies and materiality framework

Job Requirements:

• A CA (SA) or MBA Financial Management is required
• Proven 10 year’s relevant work experience at management level
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Trust and Honesty in the handling of Finances
• Driver’s license code 8
• Willing to work extended working hours
• Regular local travel as required
