Job Description:

The Tariffs regulation Manager will take a lead role in acting as the interface between the organization and the Ports Regulator in terms of required revenue and tariff determination. The manager will be responsible for the adherence to the requirements of the Ports Act and Port directives insorfar as this deals with the Port authority’s tariffs for services and infrastructure offering.

Job Responsibilities:

• Attend to Tariff Complaints received for customers and/ or Ports regulator
• Ensures consistent application of the tariff regulatory compliance activities of Port Authority. This involves playing a monitoring and oversight role on mitigate identified risks.
• Maintains awareness of Tariff regulatory threats and opportunities amongst the Authority’s top management team such that risks and opportunities may be identified early and actioned in the most appropriate manner.

Job Requirements:

• A bachelor’s degree in accountancy, finance , or economics is basic and an MBA is preferred
• Up to 5 years of management experience
• Experience in this area would be advantageous
• Knowledge
  • Must have an understanding of market pricing dynamics and cost accounting principles to ensure optimum balance
    between market price sensitivity and profitability objectives
• Skills
  • Must have excellent organizational, managerial and leadership skills.
  • Must have excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
