Job Description:

A temporary/contract position exists for an experienced Certificated Engineer. This position will report to the Senior Manager:  Safety, Health, Environment and Facilities.

Job Responsibilities:

• Audit of TSAM relevant legal compliance
• Oversee activities of TSAM individual plant competent persons (GMR 2.7)
• Mentoring and development of TSAM maintenance and engineering employees
• GMR2.1 (Supervisor of Machinery as required by the General Machinery Regulations)
• Incident investigation and corrective action implementation
• Confirmation of systems that ensure machinery and electrical compliance
• Review of relevant safety requirements, standards and practices
• Advising TSAM management of compliance requirements and risks

Job Requirements:

• Government Certificate of Competency (GCC) is a minimum requirement.
• At least 10 years’ relevant industry experience
• NQF6 Engineering Qualification (Minimum 360 credits on the 8-level framework) Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• At least 3 years’ practical experience in the operation and maintenance of utilities & machinery
