Job Description:

Are you an experienced power engineer? We’re seeking a power engineer/process operator who has a passion for plant operations to join our hydro treating team in Fort McMurray.

Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare and complete daily area logs and communicate significant changes and findings
• Ensure timely action and process adjustments during plant upsets that are consistent with operational objectives and target outputs
• Provide direction and supervision to the maintenance and contract personnel
• Prepare equipment and systems for maintenance and commissioning
• Follow all operating processes and procedures during operations to ensure the safety of our people, equipment, and the environment

Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
• Valid driver’s licence and a clean driving record
• Experience in plant operations such as heavy oil processing, sour gas processing, water treatment/power plants or refinery operations
• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to make timely decisions associated with process upsets
• 4th Class Power Engineering certification (or higher); ABSA certified
