Job Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate and manage on site exposure (What to observe)
  • Facilitate and manage EIT and Mentor registration at DMRE as per guidelines
  • Design of training systems and processes to monitor EIT
  • Build and maintain healthy and transparent relationships and partnerships with stakeholders.
  • Formulation of plans and forecasts related to current learning and development statuses of EIT’s and future potential
  • Prepare, facilitate and manage assessments of EIT modules
  • Facilitate and maintain DMRE Engineers in Training programme
  • Define short, medium and long term objectives to deliver training strategy
  • Develop and manage implementation of training strategy and operating standards for Engineers in Training (EIT)
  • Facilitate and manage network accessibility for all EIT’s
  • Prepare, facilitate topics as per Annexure E plan within the 24 month programme
  • Engagement and ongoing communication with stakeholders (internal and external)
  • Work closely with key stakeholders to establish and agree on conditions of legal compliance, productivity improvement and development
  • Establish and maintain communication structures and channels for information sharing
  • Develop governance and control mechanisms
  • Develop, maintain and optimize means and methods to convert operational data and information from various streams into a standardized and central information system, applications and business processes
  • Resolve stakeholder queries or escalate when unresolved
  • Manage the implementation of training systems and processes
  • Facilitate and manage external EIT
  • Generation and/or compilation of reports and data sets
  • Identify and scope defects and enhancement alternatives
  • Coordinate with other Mining Companies to share costs of Interventions and visits.
  • Create report to inform Management of EIT progress
  • Facilitate and manage Portfolio of Evidence (POE) of EIT modules
  • Develop and implement training programme and interventions
  • Review training material and legal/standards as part of inputs
  • Facilitate and manage EIT as per the Sibanye-Stillwater policies
  • Review effectiveness and business fit of training systems and associate business processes
  • Facilitate and manage interventions (Theoretical and practical), Internal and external
  • Engage with key stakeholders to identify and agree on integration opportunities
  • Review, analysis and interpretation of data and information

Job Requirements:

  • Be in possession of a Government Certificate of Competence (GCC) in Electrical and or Mechanical
  • Be in possession of an Assessors and or Moderators Certificate
  • Be in possession of a registered Mentorship Certificate programme
  • At least 7 years experience in a related role, of which 3 should have been experience in a similar functional management role
  • Have sound knowledge of basic legal, safety, environmental and hazard identification understanding
  • Be computer literate in Microsoft Office and have knowledge of information systems
  • Be declared medically fit for the position and environment, as determined by a risk based medical examination at the relevant Sibanye Stillwater Occupational Health Centre.
  • Be in possession as a registered Mentors with the Department of Mineral Resources and Energy Certificate programme
  • Business and Technical Qualification will be advantageous.
