Job Description:

This individual is responsible for assisting the Medical Device Management (“MDM”) team with the implementation of supplier agreements in the custom contracting area. He/she will be responsible for facilitating custom purchasing agreements, pricing agreements and amendments assigned to the Medical Device Management team.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintain contract tracker(s)
  • Facilitate the development, coordination, negotiation, finalization and implementation of pricing agreements and amendments for physician preference items
  • Negotiate custom contracts with suppliers for specific members that have engaged MDM team
  • Work with Legal Department to evaluate and determine appropriateness of contract terms and conditions
  • Attend implementation meetings with other departments within the organization
  • Complete special assignments as assigned by Senior Manager

Job Requirements:

  • Possesses good organizational and task oriented capabilities
  • Possesses developed interpersonal skills to work in a fast paced team environment
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
  • General knowledge of healthcare operations and medical device industry issues
  • Excellent oral, written and presentation skills
  • Demonstrates strong attention to detail
  • At least 3 years’ experience in the healthcare industry strongly desired
  • Maintains confidentiality
  • Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred
  • Experience negotiating contracts preferred
