Job Description:
This individual is responsible for assisting the Medical Device Management (“MDM”) team with the implementation of supplier agreements in the custom contracting area. He/she will be responsible for facilitating custom purchasing agreements, pricing agreements and amendments assigned to the Medical Device Management team.
Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain contract tracker(s)
- Facilitate the development, coordination, negotiation, finalization and implementation of pricing agreements and amendments for physician preference items
- Negotiate custom contracts with suppliers for specific members that have engaged MDM team
- Work with Legal Department to evaluate and determine appropriateness of contract terms and conditions
- Attend implementation meetings with other departments within the organization
- Complete special assignments as assigned by Senior Manager
Job Requirements:
- Possesses good organizational and task oriented capabilities
- Possesses developed interpersonal skills to work in a fast paced team environment
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
- General knowledge of healthcare operations and medical device industry issues
- Excellent oral, written and presentation skills
- Demonstrates strong attention to detail
- At least 3 years’ experience in the healthcare industry strongly desired
- Maintains confidentiality
- Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred
- Experience negotiating contracts preferred
