Job Description:
To lead and manage a production team, and interface with service departments. Oversee the production process, coordinating all production activities and operations. Plan and draw up a production schedule. decide on and order the resources that are required and ensure stock levels remain adequate.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage the budget within agreed parameters
- Translate and cascade operational goals and long-term plans through effective two-way communication in the organization
- Ensures that self and team meet targets, due dates and quality standards
- Manage cost of maintenance / production
- Report to Snr Manager Production on performance, such as systems availabilities, planned maintenance shutdowns, planning of maintenance need including budget needs
- Compile annual production budget; compile annual long-term production budget; control cost to ensure the production budget is achieved within budget
- Demonstrate One Sasol behaviour – ensure area under control is managed to the benefit to the larger Sasol value chain
- Establish and report on agreed performance criteria
- Take accountability for driving own growth through developing self-awareness, reflecting, seeking feedback and self-correcting
- Ensure equipment availability agreed upon supports the production plan
Qualification & Experience:
- 8 years total relevant and practiced Operations experience Experience in a solid handling facility will be an advantage
- Minimum of 2 years Process Engineering/- Management proven and demonstrated experience
