Job Description:

Job Responsibilities:

• Ensures that Administration is undertaken effectively and efficiently
• Manage the maintenance and calibration schedule for SANBS equipment
• Supervises and undertakes the maintenance, repair and installation of all units/equipment’s of SANBS and NBI refrigeration, air conditioning and refregerated centrifuges freeze driers, cooling towers and cold chain related equipment.
• Manage cost within budget including asset management and contribute to budget process
• Manage the calibration and verification of SANBS equipment to ensure compliance with SANS17025 international standard for calibration laboratory equipment
• Maintain, install and modify cold rooms, freezer room, refrigerated machines and all other cold chain equipment
• Supervises staff to enssure good relations, teamwork, staff development and professional service delivery

Job Requirements:

• Drivers Licence
• Certified and registered Metrologist by National laboratory Association of South Africa as part of the Metcert program or B Tech Metrology through a recognised tertiary institute would be an advantage
• 5 years experience in a supervisory position in a calibration/refrigeration and workshop
• Cold chain management
• Technical signatory statys as requires by SANAS
• Grade 12 and Technical Diploma in Refregeration or Intsrumentation
