Job Description:

This role is within Data Tech, just one of many families with Sainsbury’s Tech, and our mission is to master Commercial data for the whole Sainsbury’s Group. Data Tech is made up of several long lived, cross functional domains each with one or more teams. Our teams are part of an ambitious transformation programme using micro services and event streams to deliver value to our customers.

Job Responsibilities:

• Apply your “Automate everything” mindset
• Working with Agile delivery teams in a fast-paced, DevOps environment
• Comfortable designing Cloud Native solutions, using best practices and working to continually improve those solutions
• Creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for Data Engineering Products
• Communicate & share technical decisions with non-technical team members and stakeholders.
• Provide Cloud expertise as part of a cross functional software delivery team(s)

Job Requirements:

• Familiar with a well-architected framework and Serverless solutions
• Designing, implementing & maintaining CI/CD pipelines (experience with GitHub Runners, AWS CodeBuild and CodePipeline an advantage)
• Knowledge of Linux based systems
• Airflow
• Production monitoring & alerting distributed applications at scale
• Understanding of Docker and containerising applications
• Learning on the job
• Understanding of Identify and Access Management and Networking
• Knowledgeable on AWS
• Infrastructure as code using Terraform
