Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for cellar hygiene and safety
  • Management of subordinates and their daily tasks
  • Responsible for the management of stocks on SAP
  • Daily supervision of the fermentation process
  • Assist with compiling and managing of budget on SAP
  • Responsible for compliance with the ISO9001 and HACCP systems
  • Assisting the Fermentation Manager
  • Participate in tastings and evaluation of products

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 – 3 years of experience in a cellar environment
  • Must have good organisational, coordination and planning skills
  • Good communication skills
  • People management skills
  • Knowledge of the SAP system would be advantageous
  • Computer literacy in MS Office Suite
  • BSc degree (Food Science) or related tertiary qualification
  • Comprehensive microbiological knowledge
