We have an immediate opening for a permanent full-time Housekeeping Room Attendant in our Fort Garry Place – Furnished Suites. They ensure our suites are kept clean, organized and attractive, meeting the cleanliness and room condition standards set by Edison Properties. They contribute to the overall customer experience by ensuring customer needs are met and full satisfaction is achieved. A friendly and outgoing individual with experience in the hospitality service is an asset in this position.

Job Responsibilities:

• Cleans hospitality suites and common areas ensuring that all cleanliness and room condition standards are met as set by the operating procedures.
• Performs light maintenance duties, such as changing light bulbs, etc.
• Responds to customer concerns immediately
• Reports unsafe conditions and maintenance concerns
• Ensures a positive guest experience through greetings and concern for their well-being
• Other duties may be assigned by the Housekeeping Supervisor to support the department operations and efficiency

Job Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1 year of experience in cleaning of buildings / hotels is required
• Positive attitude with the ability to work in a team environment
• Must be physically able to lift 20 pounds on a consistent basis
• Clear Criminal Records Check, Vulnerable Sector Search must be maintained
• Position may require time commitments outside normal hours of work to accomplish duties in particular during periods of heavy work requirements
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word & Excel
• Ability to communicate in English both verbal and written
