Job Description:

The Senior Sales Manager implements sales strategies and participates in managing and enhancing customer retention and relationship building processes to foster mutually beneficial business partnerships.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Tracks territory account activities by monitoring planning activities and performance of all assigned sales representatives; diagnoses cause/effect and coaches employees to minimize variations in performance. Develops and implements remedial action plans when shortfalls or risks are identified
  • Achieves sales quotas by managing and coaching the end-to-end sell process for the assigned sales team, including oversight and support for prospecting, developing proposals, executing presentations, negotiating agreements, signing contracts within delegation of authority, securing sales to obtain full revenue and volume potential
  • Manages the individual team member’s performance to deliver actual volumes to contract commitments and leads and coaches on methods to improve CVI
  • Manage sales resources according to agreed headcount and budgets
  • Leads the sales team in the execution of sales strategies to maximize revenue and customer satisfaction. Manages opportunities of the team through prioritization and promotes sales process efficiency to ensure team and individual sales objectives are met and are in line with corporate objectives

Job Requirements:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Completed post-secondary, preferably in a related field
  • Excellent coaching skills
  • Strong business acumen
  • At least 5 years work experience in the area of Sales
