Job Description:

Responsible for effectively implementing the principles of Scrum to support the product development process, the Product Owner and Product Team. Facilitates the implementation of appropriate Agile methodologies and strives for an increase in teamwork, openness and improved communication. Assists with backlog maintenance and the resolution of defects/bugs.   Facilitates the effective running of sprint meetings and improves efficiencies and productivity by applying Agile and other metrics where appropriate. Participates proactively in developing and maintaining team standards.  Increased business value through Sprint surveys, and the development of software that adds value will be the measure of success of the Scrum team.

 

Exciting new project starting its second phase developing a product for international client base. The product is building a “markitecture” (marketing architecture) – provides target marketing to customers. Using leading edge cloud technologies. Anyone who has a passion for customer data platforms (CDF), data ingestion frameworks, data analytics, customer marketing and campaigning, digital transform and working in an agile product development environment will find the project hugely exciting.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Taking responsibility for all aspects of the delivery of projects
  • Coordinates all project activities
  • Coordinates Agile implementation across all projects
  • Interfacing with Customer regarding product releases to ensure delivery of functionality as committed to Customer
  • Motivate and inspire team members and maximize the team’s potential
  • Encourage self-organization within the team and empower team members to make important decisions, estimate work done and improve their collaboration on the project
  • Monitor project progress, provide timely feedback, and drive a culture of agility and learning
  • Guide the team in implementing Agile methodology rules to deliver rapid and reliable business products Support Product Owners to find methods to effectively manage the product backlog
  • Help communicate the Product Owner’s wish list to the project team
  • Organize scrum events as necessary
  • Remove impediments so the team can focus on the work at hand and follow scrum practices
  • Managing the requirement gathering from internal and external customers.
  • Following the change Management Process and ensuring that it is compiled to by all members of the team
  • Preparing and planning projects and driving those plans through to a successful conclusion.
  • Managing and tracking effort and progress and highlighting ways to keep the project on track despite issues – “can do” attitude is essential
  • Delivering the resultant projects on time and to budget, managing expectations and handling issues as required
  • Mitigating risks and addressing issues to ensure timely completion of project milestones
  • Ability to clearly monitor and report to senior management and Customers on project progress with respect to effort, cost and duration and key milestones
  • Manage risks and issues and be able to concisely present status at any time to management

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field, or similar
  • 3 to 5 years’ experience working in a similar agile development environment
  • Strong technical understanding and previous track record delivering in an IT development team
  • Telco experience would be a strong advantage but not essential
  • Bachelor’s Degree
