AECI Job Openings – General Accounting Manager

Job Responsibilities:

• Track and monitor performance of General Accounting processes against KPIs
• Identify gaps and opportunities for general accounting process optimisation, based on KPI measures presented by the Service and Continuous Improvement Manager
• Design new/change General Accounting processes to ensure compliance to either legislative or business requirement changes
• Communicate and train team on newly designed/changed general accounting processes/systems
• Participate in governance meetings with in-country FD’s and other process owners
• Review and approve general ledger accounts reconciliations, and request corrections where necessary
• Review execution report to standard journal list to determine if all journal entries posted
• Review and approve late adjustment documentation
• Implementation of processes to ensure timely and accurate completion of month-end closure for all entities
• Provide assistance to the AR and AP team as needed

Job Requirements:

• CA (SA)
• Minimum 3-5 year experience in General Accounting and Management
• In-depth knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
• Ability to understand and apply financial policies, procedures and processes specific to the Group. Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and Presentation skills
