Motus HONDA & SUBARU WESTRAND has a unique and exciting opportunity available for a SALES CADET. A Sales Cadet is like a trainee in the motor industry and provides young people who have the aptitude and potential for a sales career the opportunity to enter the motor industry.

A Sales Cadet generally starts in an internal sales/customer support role which involves taking customer enquiries over the telephone, processing orders and providing information about pricing, availability and general advice about the company’s products & services.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Receive inbound customer sales inquiries and provide quotations, product/service information, support and pricing details in response to inbound enquiries, promoting the features and benefits of the company’s products/services.
  • Process sales orders and arrange the dispatch and administration of products/services sold.
  • Receive, manage or escalate customer complaints related to the sale of the company’s products/services.
  • Identify sales leads and escalate them to the sales executive staff.
  • Maintain client databases
  • Attend regular sales meetings.
  • Attend all relevant OEM training courses, and any other developmental training opportunities allocated.

Job Requirements:

  • 1 year prior working experience in a sales role is highly desired. Preference will be given to applicants with prior sales experience from relevant sectors (e.g. financial services, insurance) where effectiveness in sales is linked to building relationships, understanding the needs of a customer and matching the customer needs to the product most suitable.
  • Experience in cold calling to develop a client base – an advantage.
  • Senior Certificate (Grade 12)
  • Valid, unendorsed drivers license
  • Computer literate
  • Preference will be given to suitable prospects that speak the language commonly spoken in the area, i.e. Afrikaans.
  • Communication skills in English AND Afrikaans (read, write & speak)
  • Interpersonal ability; working with people, relating to others and networking.
  • An aptitude for sales and growing sales focus.
